Fabulous Fezheads were fun, keeping the old sand dance tradition alive - memories of my late old friend Ronnie Ross of the Roadstars and solo street fame. The guys below were playing some nice American Old Timey sounds as I stopped to sample Guinness alfresco... The only event I made it to was the Sturday night concert - the rather wonderful

Hi i was just wondering if you have any info or any pics of the Roadstars. Im trying to put together any info i can find as Harry Hollis of the Roadstars was my grandfather and id like to have something to show my children when they are older also id love to be able to show the rest of my family cause im afaid half of the pics and film footage have never been seen by any of us before. I think there is some footage of the Roadsters on the Internet - certainly there is some of Charlie and Ronnie when they went to the Expo in Canada. There are some photos of Ron and Peg taken in Leicester Square 1968 by Pat Keene, the guy I collaborated with on the buskers book but these are his copyright so I'm not at liberty to send them on. I'm sure there is other material out there - will have a look and see what I can find for you. Did you have a relative who moved to Wales in the late 1980s, a village called Borth near Aberystwyth? I met someone there who had some connection to the Hollis family and knew all the old buskers but can't remember his name. I don't know the circumstances but the Roadstars cut down to a duo at some point, Charlie and Ron, so I never knew Harry, that I can remember anyway. All a long time ago!
