Rod, Just read your Mexico City Blues essay, Found it while googling Merudvagha. I am organizing my 5th reading of the poem with jazz accompaniment. I agree that K's work in MCB is in the same vein as Olson's projective. Your insight into Gaillard's inlfuence are new to me, many thanks. I see from your profile that we like some of the same movies and books, Moby, LE Enfants, Neuromancer, etc and are the same age. Luckily have some young readers and musicians working with me who are tuned into the tradition. Greg Congleton, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
Hi Greg - apologies for this moderation crap but have been annoying spammed - hi ho, the joys of the electronic high frontier - but great to hear from anothe Kerouac poetry lover - underrated in my opinion... I also work with some younger musicians - keep my on my toes!
