Time has tak...Good to know you're still around. Time has taken its toll! But a few survivors left, Al Young still going strong, Pat Keene, me, couple of others here and there... Don was still busking almost until his death, which came as a surprise, given how healthy he seemed, despite the lifestyle. He just got better, in my opinion, didn't turn into a parody one man band like most of them...Rod Warnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14812717242954233213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14790591.post-50829755076317108842017-04-29T09:28:16.019-07:002017-04-29T09:28:16.019-07:00Hi Roddy, remember you playing with Jeff very well...Hi Roddy, remember you playing with Jeff very well. Also the Western Bar, think John Ware and myself may have taken over the gig from you! Left London in the seventies when busking got too much of. Hassle and spent more time in Europe and Ireland. Did both you and Jeff move to Hastings? I knew he had, also old West End face Italian Tony, if I remember rightly. Don lived down in Brixham area for a while, came back to Brighton area, eventually ended up in Peacehaven, right on the South Downs, lovely spot.Rod Warnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14812717242954233213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14790591.post-67296790951555031062017-04-29T09:00:04.470-07:002017-04-29T09:00:04.470-07:00Very interesting, I knew Don Patridge very well ,I...Very interesting, I knew Don Patridge very well ,I first busked in the west end backing Meg singing Danny boy and Meg bottling for me.I played lots of gigs there including a residencie at The Western bar Leicester Square with my mate Jeff Davies. At one point in the early seventies Don and I were going to gig together, but this didnt happen for varies reasons. At the time Big John from Scotland was bottling for him,and when we rehearsed he had a sunburst gibson j200 that he had bought after his success with Rosie.<br />The last time I saw Don was in the early nineties he was playing a gig somewhere just outside Hastings we then lost touch after I moved to Australia.Nostalgia yep I miss the old days Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09340412256809676006noreply@blogger.com
